Session for the 21st Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards

Yesterday I performed on a fun session for the 21st Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards set to air Sunday, January 25th on TNT . Composer Tom Caffey assembled some of Los Angeles’ finest to pre record all 47 cues of music for the show. The job for Tom started in early 2014 and has been all consuming for him. He did an AMAZING job!!! I feel so fortunate to have received the call.

The session was at a beautiful studio named The Bridge located in Glendale, CA. The staff was very helpful, fast, and completely professional. I hope to work there again soon!

Here are some pictures from the session.

It was so much fun to recreate some of my favorite TV show themes.

KILLER horn section!!!! (Missing 2 guys that were on break.) These guys were so tight and dead on the click. Made my job real easy.

Sweet Strings!!! Insanely beautiful. (My world was in the iso room on the right.)

Looooooooooooong time friends. (L to R) Lance Morrison (Bass) Talley Sherwood (Recording Engineer) Sorry about the blurry shot.

47 tv cues recorded in 5 1/2 hours in 203 takes......WHEW!!!!

Group shot at the end of the day. You would think that this picture was taken at the beginning of the session. Nope. We were all tired but you can see how much fun we all had. Really had a great time meeting new friends and making music with some of the best people around!!!!
